Is Linux becoming more unpopular?

I have for many years followed Linux user statistics at http://counter.li.org/reports/short.php, and the growth in Linux users seems to really slowed down over the last year- it is actually decreasing now:( How could this be? Has the gap between Windows and Linux just gotten to large? Lacking support for non-Windows operating systems by the content providers, software and hardware manufactures?
